On April 27, TCL Electronics released its global TV shipment data for the first quarter of 2025.
TCL Electronics stated that, thanks to the implementation of the "TCL + Thunderbird" dual-brand strategy and the "mid-to-high-end + large-screen" strategy, combined with cutting-edge technologies such as Mini LED, quantum dot, and AI intelligence, TCL Electronics' global TV shipments reached 6.51 million units in the first quarter of 2025, representing a year-on-year increase of 11.4%. Benefiting from the increased proportion of mid-to-high-end products in the company's TV business, the company's TV sales revenue increased by 22.3% year-on-year.

In terms of product form, in the first quarter of 2025, global shipments of TCL TVs 65 inches and above increased by 33.0% year-on-year, with the market share rising by 4.5 percentage points to 27.7%; global shipments of TCL TVs 75 inches and above saw an even higher year-on-year increase of 41.6%, with the market share rising by 2.9 percentage points to 13.7%. The average size of TCL TVs shipped globally increased by 1.9 inches year-on-year to 53.4 inches.
With its deepening layout in high-end display technology, TCL's global shipments of mid-to-high-end quantum dot TVs increased by 74.9% year-on-year to 1.33 million units, while TCL's global shipments of Mini LED TVs reached approximately 550,000 units, with an even higher year-on-year increase of 232.9%.
By market region, in the Chinese market, TCL TV shipments increased by 10.8% year-on-year in the first quarter, demonstrating the significant effectiveness of its strategy towards larger screens and mid-to-high-end products, with continued improvement in its product structure. TCL Mini LED TV shipments saw an even greater year-on-year increase of 341.1%, with its market share rising significantly by 13.2 percentage points to 17.6%.
Continuous improvements in product structure have further boosted TCL TV sales. In the first quarter, TCL's TV business in the Chinese market saw a 35.4% year-on-year increase in sales, with the average selling price rising by 22.2% year-on-year.
In the international market, TCL TV's international shipments increased by 11.6% year-on-year in the first quarter. Among them, shipments of large-screen TVs grew rapidly year-on-year, and the significant year-on-year growth in overseas shipments of large-screen TVs drove TCL's overseas TV sales revenue to increase by 17.2% year-on-year.
