At the recently concluded SID 2025 exhibition, in addition to showcasing a range of OLED display solutions, LG Display (LGD) also presented innovative Micro LED applications in its "Driving the Future" exhibition area.
22-inch Seamless Micro LED Display <br /> At SID 2025, LGD showcased a 22-inch Micro LED display with a resolution of 480 x 540 and a refresh rate of 48 to 144Hz. Through sliding splicing, the Micro LED displays can form a seamless, ultra-wide display.

According to LGD, in addition to enabling a borderless design, Micro LED technology also brings several visual advantages. This non-organic, self-emissive technology offers pixel-level control, higher color accuracy, and deeper blacks than other screen technologies.
LGD points out that this display can be used in large-size commercial applications and automotive displays, and can also allow consumers to create ultra-large desktop displays.
12-inch Micro LED Retractable Center Console Screen <br /> In addition, LGD also showcased a 12-inch Micro LED retractable center console screen that can be installed on the vehicle's center console. The display can be expanded to 150% of its original size without losing resolution or color fidelity during the stretching process, maintaining 100 pixels per inch (ppi) and full RGB color quality.

This screen allows the touch buttons to protrude, making it easy for users to operate while driving. LGD states that this is a stretchable automotive display solution that can turn any space inside the car into a display, with panel quality comparable to ordinary screens.
This technology promises to eliminate the need for separate car displays and physical buttons, seamlessly integrating the two into a single unit. Through simple touch operations, the flat display can transform into raised touch buttons, facilitating user operation while driving.
LGD's Latest Neo:LED Panel <br /> In addition to Micro LED, LGD also showcased several eco-friendly display technologies in its third exhibition area, including a new 16-inch Neo:LED panel. This panel utilizes advanced LED technology to provide better color display while consuming less energy.
