On the morning of April 9th, with the first shovel of gold sand, the groundbreaking ceremony for the AMOLED display glass substrate photolithography and precision processing project of Jiangxi Woge Optoelectronics Group was officially held in Chengdu High-tech Zone. This future display intelligent manufacturing base, with a total investment of over 628 million yuan, is not only a key step in Woge Optoelectronics' nationwide strategic layout, but also marks a new stage in the tackling of core technologies in my country's AMOLED display industry chain. Leaders from relevant units such as the Electronic Information Industry Bureau of Chengdu High-tech Zone, the Development and Construction Command of Chengdu High-tech West Zone, BOE Group's 8.6th generation AMOLED production line Chengdu Company, China Electronics System Engineering Second Construction Co., Ltd., and Jiangxi Woge Optoelectronics Group, along with upstream and downstream supply chain partners, industry experts, and media reporters, witnessed this milestone moment.

Strategically targeting the AMOLED market, establishing the first dedicated base in Southwest China.

As a core direction for the global iteration of display technologies, AMOLED, with its high contrast and flexible foldable characteristics, is rapidly penetrating trillion-dollar markets such as smartphones, laptops, and automotive displays. Woguang Optoelectronics has chosen the "Land of Abundance" (Chengdu, Sichuan) to build a 77,000-square-meter industrial base in the core area of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle, aiming directly at the industry's ceiling for AMOLED glass substrate precision processing technology.

"Chengdu Woge will adopt the concept of 'green intelligent manufacturing' to create a low-carbon, environmentally friendly, and highly intelligent production base; and use technological innovation as an engine to cultivate new types of industrial productivity." Yi Weihua, Chairman of Woge Optoelectronics, emphasized in his speech that the project's implementation is not only a positive response to national strategies but also a deep consideration of the industrial ecosystem. Chengdu has formed a complete ecosystem from upstream materials and midstream panel manufacturing to downstream end-user applications. Coupled with the radiating effect of the trillion-yuan-level electronic information industry cluster in the Chengdu-Chongqing region, this provides an excellent environment for technological breakthroughs.

"As a government entity, we will certainly uphold the 'shopkeeper' spirit, responding to every need and not seeking help unnecessarily, and going all out to provide support and services for enterprises," said Li Gang, a first-level researcher at the Electronic Information Industry Bureau of Chengdu High-tech Zone, in his speech. He added that the VOG Chengdu project carries the high expectations of the Chengdu Municipal Government and its industry chain partners. He hopes that under the guidance of Chengdu's "establishing a full-fledged industrial park" vision, VOG and BOE will work together to create the most competitive new display industry base in the world through independent innovation, relying on Chengdu High-tech Zone.

Fifteen years of technological accumulation have forged Woger Optoelectronics into a leader in the "glass-based revolution." Starting in Xinyu and expanding nationwide, Woger Optoelectronics' technological breakthrough is a microcosm of independent innovation in China's display industry. From the first piece of optoelectronic glass rolling off the production line in 2010, to breaking the foreign monopoly in 2016 and achieving mass production of China's first In-Cell anti-interference high-resistivity coating product, and then to Hisense's Dasheng g9 monitor released in 2025, the world's first mass-produced display product based on Woger glass-based Mini LED backlight, Woger's journey has witnessed its advancement and transcendence in the field of glass-based technology.
The establishment of the Chengdu Woge AMOLED Specialized Base will focus on the selective pattern etching process for AMOLED glass substrates. Compared with traditional LCD thinning technology, this process can integrate the three major processes of thinning, through-hole, and cutting, which will help partners significantly improve their competitiveness in terms of performance and cost of high-generation OLED products.

With this, Wogel has officially secured its strategic position as a senior supplier in the LCD, Mini/Micro LED, and AMOLED display technologies. As industry experts have stated, "Wogel's continued deep cultivation in the glass-based field is reshaping the value chain division of the display industry."
The launch of the Chengdu project, aimed at building a nationwide industrial matrix and strengthening deep synergy across the industrial chain, enables Wog Optoelectronics to form an industrial matrix covering North China (Langfang base), Central China (Xinyu and Tianmen bases), South China (Dongguan and Shenzhen bases), and Southwest China (Chengdu base). This full-chain layout of "R&D-manufacturing-application" deeply synergizes with the production capacity of panel giants such as BOE, jointly building a "moat" for China's display industry.
Standing at a new historical starting point, Wog Optoelectronics' "glass-based revolution" is writing a new chapter in China's display industry. When the red silk on the foundation stone is unveiled, it is not only the birth of a smart factory, but also the start of a dream of becoming a display powerhouse—by continuously breaking through "bottleneck" technologies, more innovative products equipped with "Chinese screens" will shine on the world stage.
