The Vuzix Z100 smart glasses, officially launched last November, weigh only 38 grams, equivalent to a standard pair of glasses, making them comfortable to wear. A single charge provides up to 48 hours of use, offering users long-lasting battery life.
In terms of display technology, the Vuzix Z100 features a single green Micro LED display provided by JBD, with an additional waveguide as the optical solution. The glasses display has a resolution of 640*480, a field of view of 30°, and an aspect ratio of 4:3.
TranscribeGlass has reportedly integrated its proprietary software with the Vuzix Z100 smart glasses to create a pair of glasses suitable for people with hearing impairments. Users can see real-time captions of conversations directly on the glasses' display screen. The product retails for $377.
According to available information, Vuzix is a smart glasses company founded in 1997. It has launched multiple smart glasses models, and its products use new display technologies such as OLED and Micro LED.
In addition to the Vuzix Z100 model, Vuzix has also launched Micro LED AR glasses products such as Ultralite S and Vuzix Shield in the application of Micro LED technology.
It is worth noting that in March of this year, Vuzix also received an additional purchase order from the American company Xander™, which uses Vuzix Shield™ smart glasses, a smart glasses product that can provide real-time captions for people with hearing impairments.
