On July 18, at the 2025 China (Mianyang) Science and Technology City Science and Technology Innovation Conference, Academician Ye Zhizhen's team from Zhejiang University and Sichuan Jiuzhou Investment Holding Group Co., Ltd. reached a cooperation agreement. The two parties signed a cooperation agreement on the application of perovskite quantum dots for healthy lighting, which will promote the construction of Academician Ye Zhizhen's workstation in Mianyang.

According to reports, the two parties will conduct research on improving the eye protection capabilities of LED semiconductor lighting technology, and are expected to launch the first health lighting product based on perovskite quantum dot technology in 2026.
It is reported that, addressing the technical bottleneck of traditional LEDs lacking the blue (470-485nm) and deep red (>680nm) wavelengths, Academician Ye Zhizhen's team has innovatively applied perovskite luminescent quantum dot technology. This has improved the spectral fitting accuracy of the light source from the current 0.6-0.7 to 0.8-0.9, approaching the quality of natural light. Laboratory verification has shown that this technology can effectively alleviate visual fatigue symptoms in 82% of the subjects.
In addition, the team chose to incorporate quantum dot technology into the optical film process. This "embedded" process modification solution reduces R&D investment by approximately 35% while preserving the main structure of the existing LED production line.
Jiuzhou Group stated that perovskite quantum dots have enormous development potential in the field of healthy lighting, and demand is expected to grow rapidly in scenarios such as medical care, education, home, agriculture, and industry.
