On July 23, Woge Optoelectronics' RS project achieved mass production of GCP (Glass Circuit Plate) Mini LED light boards.

Unlike the previous Hisense project, in this project, Wogel Optoelectronics provided the customer with GCP front-end products that complete the circuit manufacturing process, while the customer completed the back-end processes such as LED chip packaging. This is suitable for customers with back-end manufacturing capabilities.
Woog Optoelectronics stated that the mass production of GCP products in this project expands the application scope of GCP products in the field of new displays, no longer limited to backlight modules. As a circuit board for displays, GCP products can be provided in different process versions according to customer needs, and are suitable for the manufacturing of various display modules.
The project manager explained that the company has divided its GCP product line into two parts: front-end and back-end, and established corresponding R&D, production, and sales teams for each. Front-end products are aimed at non-end-brand customers and are used in the manufacturing of Mini LED display modules; back-end products are aimed at end-brand customers and are used in the manufacturing of complete systems.
Woge Optoelectronics initiated GCP technology research and development in 2019 and publicly showcased samples at an exhibition for the first time in 2020. The RS project, implemented by Jiangxi Dehong, has passed customer verification and possesses the capability for thick copper and precision circuit etching processes; mass production is now feasible. The successful implementation of the RS project marks the entry of GCP products into the stage of large-scale application.
It is understood that while developing advanced semiconductor packaging substrates, Woguang Optoelectronics is also promoting the application of Micro LED self-emissive displays and Mini LED backlighting. Currently, the company's products have been applied to Hisense's Obsidian Screen technology G9 display, Lehman's 220-inch 4K P1.25 Mini LED display, and Mini LED display terminals from Korean manufacturers.
