On September 23, Tianma released the world's first 500PPI high-definition 2D/3D switchable light field instrument panel.
The product features a 12.3-inch screen that supports a 500 PPI high-definition 2D display mode. It also has a glasses-free 3D function, which does not require wearing 3D glasses and does not rely on eye-tracking technology. The viewing angle can reach 30°, and users can quickly switch between 2D and 3D modes with a single click.
Technically, this instrument panel is equipped with Tianma's self-developed high-speed real-time rendering light field 3D technology and uses a self-developed liquid crystal prism, which effectively reduces mass production costs while ensuring performance. In addition, the screen supports depth adjustment function, which the company claims can completely solve the dizziness and ghosting problems of traditional 3D displays.
In terms of application scenarios, this screen can be adapted to various in-vehicle needs such as navigation and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) warnings. The product was first exhibited at the DIC 2025 exhibition.
It's worth mentioning that Tianma showcased its 8-inch Micro LED IRIS HUD (panoramic head-up display) at DIC 2025, reportedly the industry's first display with the highest PPI (167 PPI) and an ultra-high brightness of >10,000 nits. Compared to traditional LCDs, it achieves weaker ghosting, a wider color gamut, and better image quality. Furthermore, its overall size is smaller due to the simpler optical-mechanical system structure.
In addition to automotive displays, Tianma also showcased the "world's first G-shaped triple-fold OLED display" at its recent high-end OLED technology brand launch event. Unlike Huawei Mate XT's Z-shaped triple-fold design, this one uses an inward-folding mechanism.
According to Tianma's official introduction, this G-shaped triple-fold phone has more application scenarios compared to traditional candybar phones. Its structural design features a 2.5mm R² double inward fold, and through simulation design and optimized stacked film materials, it has achieved technical development such as double inward fold film layer coupling, optimizing the overall flatness and bending count of the product. Furthermore, this solution also incorporates Tianma's SLOD display technology, which reduces power consumption by 30% compared to industry standards, while also offering more than four times the lifespan of a single-fold phone.
