LG recently announced the official debut of its LUUX outdoor LED display screen, located in the heart of Gwanghwamun, Seoul, which is touted as the largest outdoor LED display screen in South Korea.

The LUUX display screen is 50 meters high and about 60 meters wide, with a total area of 3,000 square meters. The screen surrounds the outer wall of the Dong-A Ilbo Media Center, forming a J-shaped three-dimensional curved structure, which allows the screen to display content in multiple directions at the same time.

LG stated that LUUX is the largest outdoor LED display in South Korea, and globally, LUUX surpasses most single LED screens in Times Square, New York, and its size is second only to ultra-large LED display equipment such as Resorts World in Las Vegas and The Reef in Los Angeles.

It is worth noting that following the South Korean government's relaxation of regulations at the end of 2023, which allowed the installation of LED displays without shape or size restrictions in Gwanghwamun and Myeongdong, two of Seoul's core business districts, large-scale LED display installation projects have continued to be launched in these two areas.

For example, at the end of last year, Samsung installed a 1,285-square-meter LED display screen on the exterior wall of the Shinsegae Department Store in Myeongdong, South Korea. The screen features 8K resolution, 8,000 nits brightness, and a 7,680Hz refresh rate. (Compiled)
