Recently, Innolux Corporation collaborated to introduce Micro LED mirror display technology into retail scenarios, with Torch Media providing digital content translation services. This project uses a pharmacy store as a demonstration scenario to explore the application of Micro LED display and intelligent interactive technologies in physical retail.
This solution uses a sensing module to identify the distance and dwell time between the consumer and the display device, automatically triggering interactive content. It also combines generative AI for semantic analysis and text generation to achieve dynamic information presentation based on the specific context. The interactions primarily consist of text prompts and information guidance to assist consumers in browsing products and obtaining information.

On the display side, the project uses Innolux's 25.4-inch Micro LED seamless splicing mirror display. This product has high reflectivity and ambient light contrast capability, and incorporates quantum dot color conversion technology, with a peak brightness of approximately 1,000 nits, color gamut coverage of 120% of NTSC, and a contrast ratio of approximately 1,000,000:1, maintaining good display performance under high ambient light conditions.
During the actual deployment, the project team customized the display brightness, color, and saturation parameters for the lighting environment, display flow, and installation location of the pharmacy stores to meet the requirements of display stability and readability in retail scenarios. Related application models can also be extended to cosmetic counters, jewelry displays, and high-end retail spaces.
It is worth mentioning that, in addition to Innolux's exploration of Micro LED mirror displays, AUO has also recently accelerated its pace of implementation in the field of transparent Micro LED displays, with application scenarios extending to multiple fields such as smart retail, transportation, and healthcare.
In the retail sector, AU Optronics (AUO) is redefining product display by leveraging the transparent display characteristics of Micro LED, creating transparent runways and L-shaped display cases. The transparent runway utilizes AUO's 54-inch Micro LED transparent module, enabling 24/7 continuous display of high-end designer pieces. The L-shaped display case incorporates a 20-inch Micro LED transparent display, which not only plays 180-degree 3D images of the products but also incorporates a wearable simulation function.
