On December 16th, TCL held the "Light Creates a World of Light" 2024 TCL QD-Mini LED New Technology Launch Conference. At the conference, TCL Technology upgraded several technologies to enhance the Mini LED TV effect and launched the T6L QD-Mini LED TV equipped with the latest display technology.

TCL's T6L series TVs come in five sizes: 98-inch (NT$10,999), 85-inch (NT$6,199), 75-inch (NT$4,799), 65-inch (NT$3,699), and 55-inch (NT$2,899). They will be officially available for purchase through all channels starting December 16.

To enhance the display effect of Mini LED TVs, TCL has equipped the T6L with its newly released All-View Halo Control technology, and named the zones equipped with this technology "All-View Zones". TCL has upgraded its Mini LED backlight technology from five technical aspects: light-emitting chips, lenses, OD (Optical Discharge), light and shadow control algorithms, and screen.

In terms of light-emitting chips, TCL has upgraded from traditional sapphire substrate chips to ultra-high brightness chips and adopted ALD atomic-level corrosion-resistant process. Compared with the previous generation of chips, the brightness has increased by 53.8% and the energy efficiency has increased by 10%.

The lens has been upgraded to a fourth-generation solution, utilizing an upgraded arch bridge light control technology, LSR flexible optical material, micro-nano 3D molding process, and a sophisticated light pattern calculation model. The product features a multi-refractive light control design. Backlight uniformity is improved by 86%, halo control capability by 67%, and optical stability by 8 times.

Regarding the OD mixing distance, TCL stated that the smaller the OD value, the stronger the halo control capability, which also means that the distance between the TV backlight panel and the diffuser plate is smaller. Therefore, TCL believes that only by achieving micro-distance OD with a TV thickness of less than 60mm can the effects of separate zones not affecting each other be achieved, effectively controlling the halo and achieving high brightness uniformity be realized.

In terms of lighting and shadow control algorithms, TCL has achieved transient response through its self-developed algorithm, resulting in zero-latency backlight response and clearer images without ghosting; it also achieves bidirectional 23-bit, over one billion-level fine-tuning for a more delicate picture effect. Through the ultra-dynamic lighting and shadow bionic algorithm, it intelligently optimizes the picture signal, achieving higher contrast and more picture details.

In terms of screens, TCL introduced the Huaxing HVA screen, which uses a vertical electric field alignment of liquid crystal molecules and employs polyimide, a high-polymer material. The liquid crystal molecules are arranged in a butterfly-wing shape, achieving strong light-blocking ability and high contrast.

In terms of color, the T6L adopts the latest Quantum Dot Pro 2025, using Quantum Crystal Technology to achieve a 157% BT.709, 98% DCI-P3 color gamut, 1.07 billion colors, and 95% full-screen color purity. Furthermore, TCL Technology also brings XDR color enhancement, maintaining peak brightness for longer.

The T6L also features TCL's self-developed Fuxi AI Big Model, a technology that supports rapid understanding of user needs, providing personalized content recommendations and intelligent interaction. Simultaneously, the Fuxi AI system has deeply optimized audio-visual performance, enabling the TV to deliver the best audio-visual experience in various environments through fully connected intelligent tuning.
