MiniLED-related company Haiwei Technology initiates IPO preparation.

On December 18, 2024, the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) disclosed the filing report for the initial public offering (IPO) of Wuhan Haiwei Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Haiwei Technology"). The sponsoring institution was Haitong Securities, and Yichuang Capital participated in the investment.

E-Creation Capital previously participated in Haiwei Technology's Series A financing completed in 2022. To date, Haiwei Technology has completed three rounds of financing, with investors including NIO Capital, SAIC Hengxu, GAC Capital, Hubei Yangtze River Industrial Fund, Wuhan Optics Valley Financial Holdings, Hefei Construction Investment, Temasek Holdings, SMIC Capital, Kunqiao Capital, Volcanic Rock Capital, and E-Creation Capital.

Founded in 2012, Haiwei Technology focuses on the research, development, production and sales of automotive electronic products. Its main products cover cockpit displays, cockpit controllers, AI interactive assistants, digital audio and smart surfaces.

Its automotive-grade Mini LED direct-lit backlight display uses a self-developed Local Dimming local dimming algorithm, an ultra-small pitch Mini LED backlight solution, and automotive-grade OD 0 backlight technology, featuring a peak brightness of 1500 nits, an ultra-high contrast ratio of 100,000:1, and 95% NTSC color gamut.

In terms of customer cooperation, Hymicro Technology has established partnerships with emerging electric vehicle manufacturers such as NIO, Li Auto, XPeng Motors, and Jike Auto, as well as traditional automakers such as Dongfeng, SAIC, and Chery. In 2022, Hymicro Technology provided the Feifan R7 with a 43-inch widescreen true-color triple display, including a 10.25-inch instrument display using Mini LED backlighting technology.

In the field of smart manufacturing, the headquarters park of Haiwei Technology officially broke ground on June 18, 2024. Located in the central area of ​​Wuhan New City, the project has a total construction area of ​​approximately 157,000 square meters and will be built in two phases.
