Recently, AI glasses hardware manufacturer Thunderbird Innovation and cloud computing and artificial intelligence technology company Alibaba Cloud officially reached a strategic cooperation agreement. Alibaba Cloud's Tongyi series of large models will provide Thunderbird Innovation with a full set of AI technology and product support for its AI glasses.

According to available information, Thunderbird Innovation was founded in October 2021, focusing on near-eye displays and AI algorithms, and was incubated by TCL Electronics. In the field of AR glasses, Thunderbird Innovation announced and mass-produced the world's first binocular full-color Micro LED waveguide AR glasses, the Thunderbird X2, in 2023; and in May 2024, it announced the Thunderbird Air 2s based on Micro OLED + BirdBath technology.
This collaboration targets the specific scenarios and hardware characteristics of the Thunderbird AI Glasses, developing a customized "cloud + edge" model based on the Tongyi series large model base. This will help the product achieve a high-response, low-latency, and high-quality multimodal AI interactive experience. Simultaneously, both parties will also customize and develop functions based on the actual usage scenarios of the glasses, and continuously iterate and update the Thunderbird AI Glasses product.
