Recently, HKC has achieved a major breakthrough in the high-end display field, successfully completing the development of the world's first silicon-based GaN single-chip integrated full-color Micro-LED chip (SiMiP) for direct-view display of large-screen micro-pitch LED displays. This technology, developed in collaboration with Richtek Semiconductor based on the SiMiP chip, improves production efficiency and display quality.
With the rapid development of the micro-pitch LED large-screen direct display field, and the further miniaturization of pixel pitch, the demand for miniaturization chips in COB products is increasing rapidly. The MiP solution has become one of the choices for the development of micro-pitch large-screen direct display technology.

HKC and Richtek Semiconductor have combined their core strengths in chips, display solutions, and supply chain resources to successfully promote the application of SiMiP chip technology. The newly developed SiMiP technology simplifies production and repair processes by integrating red, green, and blue primary color pixels on a single chip. This technology can significantly improve the first-pass yield of micro-pitch LED display modules and significantly reduce production costs, offering the advantages of both high performance and cost.
According to reports, SiMiP adopts a single-chip integration solution, eliminating the need for complex mass transfer and repair processes, and significantly improving the first-pass yield. Through innovative technical routes, it reduces complex steps in traditional processes and avoids the use of toxic materials, making it more environmentally friendly. The red, green, and blue primary color pixels have high consistency in emission wavelength, operating voltage, and light distribution, fundamentally solving the color deviation problem of traditional solutions.
