On April 29, Canadian Micro LED technology developer VueReal announced a major expansion of its Micro LED Reference Design Kit (RDK) portfolio, which will further drive the development and commercialization of Micro LED products.
VueReal's RDK suite is among the industry's first directly integrateable, application-optimized Micro LED display solutions. This breakthrough is made possible by the company's patented MicroSolid Printing technology.

These reference design kits reportedly include pre-configured, integrable Micro LED display modules suitable for automotive applications such as smart taillights, glass-embedded displays, augmented reality head-up displays (AR HUDs), in-vehicle lighting and infotainment systems, as well as consumer electronics fields such as AR/VR and embedded smart displays.
Through these industry-specific reference design kits, VueReal helps partners validate products faster using pre-integrated, dedicated designs; reduce development risks with proven production platforms; and expand design possibilities, such as achieving transparent, ultra-bright, low-power Micro LEDs. VueReal will showcase its latest Micro LED reference design kits at SID Display Week 2025, which opens this month.
It is worth noting that at CES 2025 earlier this year, VueReal showcased its first Micro LED design reference kit to help downstream companies simplify the development of Micro LED products in multiple fields, including automotive, augmented reality (AR), consumer electronics, and lighting, in order to accelerate the development of Micro LED technology.
Then, at the end of January this year, VueReal announced that it had secured $40.5 million (approximately RMB 290 million) in Series C funding. The funds will be used to expand VueReal's production capacity and strengthen its global ecosystem to support partners in achieving their goal of integrating Micro LED into commercial production.
