On December 13, Yunguang Technology announced the completion of a Pre-A+ round of financing worth tens of millions of yuan. This round of financing was led by Nantong Nengda Capital and will be mainly used for the construction of the company's 12-inch silicon-based OLED mass production line, the research and development of a new generation of high-definition silicon-based microdisplay driver chips, and customer support.

According to available information, YunGuang Technology is a company specializing in near-eye display technology solutions, dedicated to the independent research, development, manufacturing, and sales of silicon-based microdisplays. In the field of microdisplays, YunGuang Technology has independently developed "field stacking light emission technology," which can effectively solve practical problems in near-eye display experiences such as motion blur and high refresh rate eye protection.
At the China International Optoelectronic Exposition in September this year, Yunguang Technology showcased a 1.32-inch silicon-based OLED microdisplay with a resolution of 2560*2560 and a refresh rate of 3600Hz; and a 0.71-inch silicon-based OLED microdisplay that has entered the mass production stage.
In terms of production capacity, Yunguang Technology's 8-inch silicon-based OLED production line officially went into operation in April 2023, with a designed annual production capacity of 200,000 display modules and a monthly wafer production capacity of about 1,000.
Yunguang Technology stated that following the completion of its Pre-A+ round of financing, the company will accelerate the mass production process of its 4K high-definition silicon-based OLED microdisplays, increase its promotional efforts in key regional markets, strengthen the construction of various sales channels, and actively build cooperative relationships with more strategic partners. Simultaneously, the company is actively preparing for the construction of a 12-inch silicon-based OLED production line.
