On June 16th, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun announced on social media: "The highly anticipated Xiaomi Yu7 will be released at the end of June. Many other major new products will also be released at the same time, such as the second tablet equipped with the Xuanjie O1 chip: the Xiaomi Mi Pad 7S Pro. We are preparing for it, see you at the end of the month!"
At the same time, KOL Digital Chat Station revealed on social media that Xiaomi AI Glasses will be among the new products to be launched at the end of this month, with an expected starting price of 1499 RMB, directly targeting Ray-BanMeta, whose global sales have exceeded 2 million units.
Since the supply chain reported last November that Lei Jun expected sales of the first-generation product to be "over 300,000 units," this mysterious device has attracted widespread attention throughout the industry and become the focus of everyone's attention.
Unlike the Mijia Audio Glasses 2 launched by Xiaomi in April, this new product is a true AI smart glasses, integrating a camera and an AI module, directly competing with Ray-BanMeta and Thunderbird V3 in terms of product form.

Information from the supply chain indicates that Xiaomi's AI glasses employ a dual-chip solution, combining the Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1 Gen1 and the Hengxuan 2700 chip. The Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1 Gen1 chip focuses on image processing, delivering an excellent imaging experience for users; while the Hengxuan 2700 chip, as the headphone chip, is primarily responsible for audio processing. This architecture addresses the biggest pain point currently facing AI glasses—battery life anxiety.
In terms of the imaging system, the Xiaomi AI Glasses are equipped with a Sony IMX681 image sensor and a 5-microphone array, enabling accurate voice pickup in noisy environments and ensuring accurate and smooth voice interaction. Furthermore, it utilizes electrochromic lens technology, allowing users to instantly transform the lenses into sunglasses depending on the lighting conditions, effectively combating strong light and protecting their eyes.
It's worth mentioning that Xiaomi is also preparing a dual-version strategy. In addition to the AI-powered shooting glasses with a camera, they will also launch a purely voice-interactive version without a camera, with the price potentially dropping below 1000 RMB. (Source: Sina VR)
