On June 30, the report "Global Automotive LED Market - Lighting and Display Product Trends 2025" was released. Looking ahead to 2025, due to the continued impact of overall economic uncertainty, significant downward pressure on prices is expected.

However, based on an analysis of the order backlog of automotive LED manufacturers, the automotive production market is expected to recover again in the second half of 2025. In addition, with the continued adoption of advanced technologies in 2026 models, the market value of automotive LED and automotive lighting is expected to grow to US$3.451 billion and US$35.729 billion respectively by 2025.

Hisense's 163-inch Micro LED TV, priced at 799,900 yuan, has been launched in Shenzhen.
On July 3, according to the China Securities Journal, a Shenzhen homeowner recently purchased a 163-inch Hisense UX Micro LED borderless giant screen for 799,900 yuan. This is the first user case of the 163-inch Hisense UX. The TV integrates 24.88 million Micro LED chips and features Hisense's self-developed Micro Black Hole Imaging, dual-core architecture for simultaneous light and color control, and 3D nano-packaging technology.

Seoul Semiconductor's WICOP technology enters the automotive display market, bringing Mini LED backlight applications to fruition.
On July 2nd, Seoul Semiconductor, a major international LED manufacturer, announced that its self-developed wire-free integrated chip mounting technology, WICOP, has been supplied to the automotive display industry for use as Mini LED backlight devices since May 2025. Mini LED backlights based on WICOP technology enable ultra-thin designs, are suitable for full-array local dimming solutions, and deliver deeper contrast and higher brightness, supporting automotive HDR display effects.

Huaxia Liad has completed the construction of its latest LED cinemas in Xining, Zhangye, and Linxia.
On June 30th, Huaxia Leyard announced the completion of its LED cinema screen series, "Illumination Island," in Xining, Zhangye, and Linxia. All cinemas are equipped with 4K Illumination Island LED cinema screens. By the end of June 2025, Huaxia Leyard's Illumination Island LED cinema spaces will have reached 21 locations nationwide.

Thunderbird Micro LED Optical Mechanism Intelligent Manufacturing Factory Officially Commences Production

On June 28, the "Thunderbird Optics Intelligent Manufacturing Factory" located in Nanhu, Jiaxing, officially started production. According to Thunderbird, the factory will undertake research and development tasks such as optical simulation, optomechanical module design, and automated equipment, with an expected annual output of 1.05 million optomechanical modules.

Liaowang LED Automotive Lighting Suzhou Base Project Commences Construction
On June 28, Foshan Lighting's subsidiary, Liaowang Automotive Lighting (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., officially commenced construction on its automotive parts and accessories manufacturing base project. Located in Huangdai Town, the project will primarily produce LED automotive lighting products suitable for new energy and intelligent connected vehicles, aiming to supply and serve mid-to-high-end automotive OEMs in the Yangtze River Delta region.

Valeo's Wuhan factory expands again
On June 27, Valeo Lighting (China) Co., Ltd. signed an agreement with Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Area to build a new production line at its second factory in Wuhan, focusing on the research and development and production of high-end automotive lighting products for new energy vehicles. This marks the fourth time Valeo Group has increased its investment in the area, aiming to accelerate the research and development and production of high-end automotive lighting for new energy vehicles. The plan includes adding a new production line and upgrading production capacity, which is expected to increase the company's annual output value by 500 million yuan.

Civil explosives industry gains equity in Nankaimin, promoting the construction of LED lighting base.
On July 3, Minbao Optoelectronics issued an announcement stating that the company had previously adjusted its fundraising projects and would use part of the funds for new projects such as the "LED Industrial Lighting and Special Lighting Fixtures Production Base Construction Project". To implement this project, a subsidiary used RMB 66.0259 million of the raised funds to successfully bid for a land use right in Huizhou.

Qiaoke Technology Signs Agreement with Jiangsu for Intelligent Production Line of Mini LED COB Display Panel
On June 30th, it was announced that Qiaoke Technology signed a contract in Gaoyou, Jiangsu Province, for an intelligent production line for Mini LED COB display panels. Once operational, the project will establish an intelligent production line capable of producing 50,000 square meters of Mini LED COB display panels per month, with expected annual sales exceeding 6 billion yuan. The equipment procurement list has been largely finalized, and construction will commence immediately after the land is listed for sale.

An investment of 150 million yuan has been signed to establish an LED linear light source product manufacturing project in Fuzhou, Jiangxi Province.
On July 2nd, it was announced that Xuzhou Senmlon Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. signed an agreement with Linchuan District, Fuzhou City, for the production of LED linear light source products. The project plans to invest 150 million yuan, with a factory area of ​​approximately 15,000 square meters. Once fully operational, the project is expected to generate an annual output value of 350 million yuan and contribute 7 million yuan in taxes annually.

Micro LED manufacturer Norvision Technology completes a new round of strategic financing.

On June 27th, it was announced that Novis Technology, a company specializing in the R&D of Micro LED microdisplay chips, recently completed a new round of strategic financing, with the investor being Boao Group. Novis Technology possesses the core technology of VSP (Vertical Stacked Pixels), a solution that helps achieve chip miniaturization, performance improvement, and optimized manufacturing efficiency. Its products target cutting-edge applications such as AR/MR devices, automotive head-up displays (HUDs), and digital headlights.

LED lighting company Yufu Lighting's application for listing on the National Equities Exchange and Quotations (NEEQ) has been accepted . Recently, Shenzhen Yufu Lighting Co., Ltd. disclosed its prospectus, announcing that its application for listing on the NEEQ has been accepted. The company plans to list 30 million shares on the NEEQ's Innovation Layer, with China Merchants Securities as the lead underwriter. Yufu Lighting focuses on LED lighting products, primarily used in industrial, commercial, and specialty lighting, with sales covering developed markets in North America, Europe, and Oceania.

Teams from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and other institutions have developed high-resolution single-crystal thin-film Micro LED microdisplay devices.
On July 2, the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) announced on its official website that a collaborative research team comprised of Professor Wu Yuchen from the Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Feng Jiangang from the University of Science and Technology of China, and Associate Professor Qiu Yuchen from Jilin University has developed a single-crystal thin-film technology based on remote epitaxial growth for the fabrication of ultra-high-resolution single-crystal Micro LED microdisplay devices. Leveraging the properties of single-crystal thin films, the team used photolithography to fabricate Micro LEDs with 4μm pixels.

New research from South Korean universities suggests a potential solution to the transfer problem in Micro LED technology.
On June 30th, foreign media reported that a research team at Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH) in South Korea has recently developed a novel dry adhesive technology. This technology can provide an adhesion force exceeding 15 atmospheres in the adhesive state, and leaves almost no residual force upon detachment. The adhesion strength difference is over 1000 times, far superior to existing technologies. This technology holds promise for solving the challenge of high-precision transfer of Micro LED chips.
