On September 19, CSEE Semiconductor Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "CSEE"), a quantum dot Micro LED display company, announced that it has established a strategic partnership with Vuzix, a US-based AI smart glasses and augmented reality (AR) technology supplier. The two parties will jointly develop high-performance optical solutions to accelerate the commercialization of next-generation AI/AR smart glasses.

In this collaboration, Saifures will provide the T1-0.13-inch single green Micro LED microdisplay, which features high brightness, high uniformity, and mass production verification, making it a core display component in optical solutions. Vuzix, on the other hand, will combine its independently developed waveguide technology and overall design capabilities to launch a compact optical device design.

The two parties also plan to expand their cooperation to jointly develop full-color AR optical solutions and accelerate the mass production of next-generation AI/AR glasses. As a milestone, they plan to complete reference design prototypes for both the binocular single-green modified version and the single-lens single-green model by the end of this year.

According to available information, CEFLOS was founded in 2017. The company's current products include R-series Micro LED chips for commercial display screens, M-series Micro LED chips for automotive and watch screens, and T-series Micro LED microdisplays for AR/VR headsets.

Regarding new micro-display products, in June of this year, SFLS released the T3 series full-color Micro LED micro-display. In addition, the company, in collaboration with its partner Leyard, is developing AR glasses based on the T1-0.13-inch monochrome micro-display and plans to launch a new generation of AR glasses equipped with the T3-0.13-inch full-color display by the end of 2025.

Vuzix, a smart glasses company founded in 1997, has launched several smart glasses models using new display technologies such as OLED and Micro LED, including the Z100, Ultralite S, and Shield. Notably, in late June of this year, Vuzix received additional orders from customers for its Z100 and Shield Micro LED glasses, aiming to create eyewear products suitable for people with hearing impairments.

In addition to this collaboration with SAIFULES, in May of this year, Vuzix also partnered with the Fraunhofer Institute for Photonic Microsystems (IPMS) in Germany to jointly manufacture the first batch of high-performance Micro LED backplane samples to meet the unique needs of specific Vuzix customers.
