According to reports, Neptunus will collaborate with garment OEM manufacturer Juyang Industrial to present a "Technology × Fashion" exhibition centered on Micro LED transparent display technology at London Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2026.
The exhibition uses a 9.38-inch adjustable transmittance Micro LED transparent display, combining light and shadow effects with clothing design to explore new applications of technology in fashion displays.
Nichuang pointed out that Micro LED transparent display technology can be extended to the luxury goods industry and other fields in the future, such as mobile displays or jewelry display boxes, to enhance visual performance and viewing experience by presenting high-brightness, high-contrast images in conjunction with physical displays.
It is reported that Nictron Technology, together with GIS, launched a 13.3-inch low-diffraction next-generation transparent Micro LED display at the Touch Taiwan exhibition in April 2024. At the Touch Taiwan exhibition in 2023, Nictron showcased three Micro LED transparent displays with a transparency of 65% to 70% and a brightness of approximately 3,000 nits.

From an industry perspective, analysts believe that with the development of Micro LED technology, the use of transparent glass or plastic circuit boards, combined with the miniaturization of Micro LED components, has significantly improved screen transparency. Through precise design and layout, the non-light-emitting areas of a Micro LED screen (such as circuitry and driving components) can be minimized or made transparent, minimizing the impact on transparency. This makes Micro LED the most sought-after transparent display technology.
Driven by continuous technological development, the industrialization process of Micro LED transparent displays is also accelerating.
In August of this year, it was reported that Fuchai's Micro LED products have been gradually introduced into end-user applications, mainly for transparent displays, and have begun trial production, with initial revenue contributions becoming apparent. The company is actively sending samples to secure new projects, and expects the benefits to be even more significant in the next two years.
In addition, companies such as AUO, Hisense, and Samsung have showcased their related achievements at international exhibitions this year. At CES 2025, AUO launched a Micro LED transparent display canopy for automotive and retail applications; Hisense exhibited a high-transmittance Micro LED touchscreen at the same exhibition; and Samsung showcased a transparent Micro LED windshield.
