On October 20th, LG officially launched its latest home theater display product, the LG MAGNIT Active Micro LED. This product utilizes Active Matrix technology, enabling extremely precise independent control of each pixel, delivering high definition, contrast, and depth. The product first launched in South Korea on October 21st, followed by releases in major global markets, including North America.

It is reported that the newly released LG MAGNIT Active Micro LED product is equipped with a 136-inch (approximately 3 meters wide and 1.7 meters high) giant screen with 4K resolution and an ultra-high contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1.
With its active matrix drive technology, each pixel of the display can emit light independently. Unlike traditional passive matrix systems that can only control pixels row by row, LG's active matrix drive technology achieves pixel-level control, resulting in finer image details, higher resolution, and clearer images.
The display also utilizes LG's proprietary surface treatment technology, which effectively enhances black depth, reduces external light interference, and ensures color accuracy. Its modular design ensures precise alignment and eliminates panel seams; the display's flicker-free feature keeps viewers' eyes comfortable even during extended viewing sessions.
In addition, the display has built-in speakers on both sides, supporting 4.2-channel surround sound with a total output power of 100 watts, and is compatible with eARC (enhanced audio return channel) to achieve lossless playback of high-quality audio.
Internally, the display features LG's latest α9 sixth-generation AI processor, which intelligently analyzes the content creator's intent and optimizes for each scene. This processor reduces noise, enhances clarity, and recognizes faces, objects, text, and backgrounds, resulting in more natural and detailed images. Combined with a 144Hz high refresh rate, the display ensures smooth, ghosting-free dynamic visuals in fast-paced games and sports events.
LG stated that it plans to develop this product into a fully scalable video wall solution in the future to further strengthen its presence in the B2B market.
It's worth noting that last year, LG announced its B2B development strategy, aiming to focus on developing its business solutions division and double its sales to $7.5 billion by 2030. Within the commercial and signage display sector, LG will focus on high-end fine-pitch LED displays, including the development of its Micro LED MAGNIT series. (Compiled)
