The annual cultural and creative industry extravaganza, "2025 Taiwan Cultural and Creative Expo," kicked off on August 2nd and will run for ten days, taking place at both the Taipei Songshan Creative Park and the Nangang Exhibition Center. This year's theme is "Water Landscape," combining advanced display technology from ViewSonic, a global leader in visual and educational technology solutions, to vividly present the diverse facets and abundant vitality of Taiwan's water culture. Within the "Cultural Exhibition Area," high-definition commercial projectors and a portable 138-inch large LED display are used to create a multi-sensory immersive performance space. The interplay of light and shadow, and the delicate interweaving of images, create a dynamic visual narrative, echoing the theme of this year's expo and showcasing the new possibilities of display technology empowering artistic creation.

Kung Cho-Chun, chief consultant of the 2025 Taiwan Cultural and Creative Expo, said: "In an era of extreme climate, water culture has become a common issue of global concern. Therefore, this year's curatorial theme is 'water,' interpreting Taiwan's unique coexistence with water through local cultural imagery, allowing the world to better understand this island. When curation becomes a narrative tool and technology becomes a partner in cultural performance, Taiwan can move from 'storyteller' to 'co-creator.' The Cultural and Creative Expo is precisely such a practice, using professional display technology to meticulously present diverse water landscapes, allowing culture to touch people's hearts and letting more people see the vitality of Taiwan."

Chang Chi-yi, president of the Taiwan Design Institute, also emphasized: "We hope that when people visit the cultural exhibition area, they can rediscover the creative essence inspired by water and land, and appreciate the charm of Taiwan's water culture. Many cultural works are beautiful and have stories, but they may not be truly seen. Technology is the best translator of culture. Through ViewSonic's professional display technology, the light and sound layers of water from low to high altitudes can be accurately reproduced, allowing visitors to feel the atmosphere and soul of the island of Taiwan no matter where they are in the exhibition area."

Lien Yu-Jen, General Manager of ViewSonic Taiwan and Dean of ViewSonic Academy, stated, "ViewSonic utilizes innovative visual solutions to become a bridge for culture to be seen and understood. This curatorial collaboration with the Taiwan Cultural and Creative Expo allows professional display technology to become an integral part of cultural narratives, enriching the sensory experience through digital interaction and enabling art to touch viewers in a more three-dimensional and emotional way. In the future, we will continue to invest in the application and development of visual technology and look forward to collaborating with more creators and curators to deepen the technology and expression of immersive performances."

High-specification display technology supports immersive exhibitions; ViewSonic facilitates the transformation and realization of waterscape content . This year's Taiwan Cultural and Creative Expo draws inspiration from the diversity of water, showcasing the flow and evolution of Taiwan's diverse cultures. In line with the expo's curatorial theme of sensory experience, digital interaction, and an immersive atmosphere, ViewSonic's high-brightness, high-resolution commercial laser projectors and 138-inch all-in-one LED foldable displays assisted numerous artists in lighting design and equipment configuration. Utilizing imaging technology, the curatorial content was presented in a clearer and more immersive way, creating a viewing experience that combines technological and artistic appeal.

Located in the Cultural Exhibition Area of Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, the four themed exhibition areas—"The Realm Through the Mist," "The Spirit of the River," "The Island Connecting to the Sea," and "Taiwan's Myriad Waters"—interpret the resilience and vitality extending from the mountain and sea landscape to diverse cultures. "The Realm Through the Mist" uses fallen leaves and layers of mist to guide visitors through Taiwan's low mountains and deep forests. The exhibition area utilizes a ViewSonic 8,500-lumen high-brightness laser projector. Its superior brightness and wide color gamut reproduction technology clearly display the layers and details of the mountains and forests even in environments with multiple projectors and interwoven mist, creating an immersive experience of stepping into a tranquil misty forest. The projected images smoothly switch between mountains and lakes, cleverly expanding the spatial depth, allowing visitors to feel as if they are resting on a high mountain or enjoying tea by a lake.

The "Spirit of the River" exhibition area integrates people's memories and beliefs about water into a Taiwanese landscape constructed with netting. ViewSonic's ultra-short-throw laser projector, with its high contrast and Cinema SuperColor™ color technology, effectively overcomes the brightness and color challenges posed by the ambient light in the exhibition area. Visitors can observe the water ritual and the details of the Wangchuan (royal boat) making process up close through the translucent netting, experiencing the depth of traditional beliefs and the pulse of culture. Another section of the exhibition area uses projection effects to create the imagery of "souls born with water." Even with limited side installation space, the equipment accurately projects the ripples of flowing river water. Combined with GeoBox interactive compression technology, it creates an immersive interactive experience that traditional media cannot achieve.

In the "Island Connecting to the Sea" exhibition area, the dialogue between artists and water unfolds vividly through projection, beneath a large, suspended weave. Near the entrance, on a white wall, poems appear rhythmically with the ripples of water; even with natural light interference, the projected images remain clear, making viewers feel as if they are reading poetry on the water's surface. Another exhibition area, "Taiwan's Waters," focuses on selected local specialties from 22 counties and cities, presenting the stories behind their production through projection. Despite the use of open windows throughout the space, allowing ample natural light, and multiple lighting fixtures, the projected images remain sharp and clear, subtly conveying the cultural essence of "one's environment shapes one's people."

In addition to static exhibitions, the curatorial team also created immersive sound and light effects across venues using the highly mobile ViewSonic 138-inch LED foldable display. Its foldable, all-in-one design allows for quick installation and flexibly adapts to stage and performance spaces. In the limited-time themed performances "A_Root" and "Ponay," the display, with its seamless color reproduction technology, accurately presented the details of light and shadow impacts and the layered textures of the performers' costumes, combining sound, body, and rhythm to create a rich audio-visual feast.

The Cultural and Creative Industries Fair Inspires New Application Ideas; ViewSonic Accelerates Deployment of Large-Scale Display Solutions <br /> At this year's Cultural and Creative Industries Fair in Taiwan, ViewSonic showcased the flexible application of display technology in diverse cultural settings, echoing the trend of cultural integration and technology, and continuously upgrading the visual and interactive experience of these venues. With its "One Ecosystem" strategy at its core, ViewSonic integrates hardware and software display equipment, operation training, maintenance support, and flexible rental, providing a one-stop visual solution covering front-end, mid-end, and back-end, meeting all needs from curation and performance to sustainable operation.

Over the past year, ViewSonic's visual solutions have been successfully implemented in numerous large-scale application scenarios, including indoor golf driving ranges, business exhibitions, and cultural and creative events, and will be expanded to more outdoor leisure and cultural and artistic spaces.
