On November 25, Li Xiang, chairman of Li Auto, posted a video on social media stating that the company will launch smart glasses, and called them "Li Auto's best artificial intelligence accessory".
Looking back at the AI Talk event in May of this year, Li Xiang mentioned that the assisted driving industry is still in the "darkest hour before dawn," and breakthroughs in AI technology will be the core factor driving the industry to a critical turning point. He believes that solving industry problems is Li Auto's mission, and this concept has also extended to the development direction of its AI hardware products.
With the popularization of smart wearable devices, the automotive industry is gradually showing an ecological linkage trend of "smart glasses + in-vehicle system (vehicle infotainment system)", and many car companies have already made their moves in this field.

Xiaomi launched its first AI smart glasses on June 26, 2025, featuring a classic Wellington-style frame design and supporting voice interaction and interconnectivity between people, vehicles, and homes. The starting price was 1999 yuan. Geely Automobile, through its acquisition of Meizu and the development of the Flyme Auto in-vehicle system, announced in August of this year that its full-domain AI technology had officially been implemented in the smart cockpit field. In the future, Meizu will achieve ecological interconnectivity between smart cars and AR glasses.
From a long-term development perspective, it is pointed out that with the addition of AI functions, AR devices are increasingly demanding higher computing power and battery life, and are setting higher standards for display performance. Overseas manufacturers are increasingly favoring high-specification full-color LEDoS technology. With technological advancements and cost optimization, it is projected that shipments of AR devices equipped with this technology will reach 20.9 million units by 2030, with a technology penetration rate reaching 65.0% by then.
