Hongkai Optoelectronics announced its financial results for the first three quarters of 2025, with EPS of 0.64 yuan.

Hung Kai Optoelectronics Co., Ltd., a supplier of integrated optoelectronic semiconductor solutions, reported revenue of NT$615 million for the first three quarters of 2025, a decrease of 2.61% compared to the same period in 2024. Gross profit was NT$264 million, and net profit after tax was NT$43.69 million. The cumulative earnings per share (EPS) for the first three quarters of 2025 was NT$0.64.

HONGKAI Optoelectronics General Manager Tseng Chih-Hung stated, "2025 will be the peak investment year for the company after relocating its entire factory from Shenzhen to Nantong, with major investments in new capacity construction and equipment upgrades. Despite increased capital expenditures, the company maintains a high level of cash reserves and a sound financial structure. The new Nantong factory is now fully operational, successfully taking over the original capacity of the Shenzhen factory and simultaneously expanding the optical sensor production line. It has also implemented OSAT-level packaging and testing management, which can support the mass production of higher-end sensors and meet the needs of international foundry customers. The Nantong factory uses a highly automated production process combined with advanced packaging technology to create an overall process architecture; with the expansion of capacity and continuous improvement in operational efficiency, revenue growth is expected next year."

Continuing the strong growth momentum driven by ICLED, HONGKAI's R&D focus this year is on automotive communication and intelligent lighting technologies that fully leverage the advantages of ICLED's intelligent control and simplified wiring, aligning with the Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) architecture used in autonomous driving and electric vehicles. Related products have already been initiated for testing by several international automakers and are expected to become key components of next-generation automotive communication and intelligent lighting systems.

In the field of intelligent sensing, miniaturized OTS optical tracking sensors and optical encoders continue to ship steadily, demonstrating HK's strong technical capabilities in advanced packaging of optical sensors. In consumer electronics, in addition to the stable growth of backlight products, the company is also actively expanding its ICLED and IRLED products to more end-user applications in computers and gaming PCs, which is expected to drive a new wave of sales growth.

General Manager Zeng Zhihong emphasized that the official opening of the new Jiangsu plant symbolizes a new milestone for Hongkai as it enters its 25th anniversary year. Facing the rapid evolution of technologies such as AI, autonomous vehicles, and silicon photonics, the market demand for high-speed transmission and intelligent sensing continues to rise.
