According to available information, Harman was founded in 1952 and is the world's largest manufacturer of car audio and infotainment systems. Harman Suzhou was established in the park in 2006, mainly engaged in the research and development and production of digital audio equipment.
Harman Suzhou has now established an integrated development model encompassing R&D, testing, and production, and is actively expanding in automation and digitalization. In 2024, Harman Suzhou achieved revenue exceeding 4.2 billion yuan, setting a new company record.
It is reported that the newly completed fully automated automotive display smart manufacturing plant has a total investment of 100 million yuan. It consists of a Class 1,000 cleanroom nested within a Class 10,000 cleanroom, and includes fully automated automotive LCD display module production lines such as a full lamination production line, a backlight module assembly line, an LCD display module assembly and testing line, and an automated packaging production line. The backlight module assembly and testing equipment has also been upgraded simultaneously.
The new project also introduced an AI visual detection and dynamic adjustment system to optimize the light guide plate design and LED light source arrangement, enabling the new generation of backlight modules to achieve technological breakthroughs in color reproduction, contrast and energy consumption.

It's worth noting that, driven by the "new four modernizations" trend in the automotive industry, Harman is placing increasing emphasis on its automotive display business. While completing related capacity construction, Harman also showcased its automotive display solutions at CES 2025. Among these, Harman's Ready Display technology features a full-size screen extending from the steering wheel to the center console. This screen utilizes Samsung's Neo QLED technology and has received HDR10+ certification. In addition, Harman has also demonstrated its AR head-up display solutions, Ready Vision and Ready Vision QVUE. (Source: Suzhou Industrial Park Management Committee, compiled)
