Yonhap News Agency published a blog post on December 3, reporting that Samsung plans to showcase a new AR glasses prototype at the Galaxy Unpacked event in January 2025. The prototype is estimated to weigh only 50 grams and will feature AI-powered payment, gesture recognition, and facial recognition functions.

Reports indicate that Samsung's AR glasses have been under development since February 2023, in collaboration with companies such as Google and Qualcomm. The design is closer to ordinary glasses or sunglasses, and the weight is expected to be only 50 grams, taking a differentiated approach from Apple's Vision Pro headset.
