According to a message from Xitai Technology's official WeChat account, on the morning of March 21, Xitai Technology's Nanchong Semiconductor Microdisplay Industrial Park is scheduled to break ground in Jialing District. The Xitai Technology Nanchong Semiconductor Microdisplay Industrial Park project covers an area of 125 acres, with a total construction area of approximately 60,000 square meters. The main focus will be the construction of Xitai Technology's second 12-inch silicon-based OLED production line, primarily engaged in the production of silicon-based OLED microdisplay devices.

This project utilizes globally leading semiconductor manufacturing equipment and software systems, integrates advanced technologies such as AI quality inspection, and has established a semiconductor micro-display manufacturing base. With the project's implementation, it will accelerate the development of the upstream and downstream industrial chains of Nanchong's new micro-display industry, attract industry management and technical talent, further optimize the region's industrial structure, and promote the cluster development of Nanchong's semiconductor micro-display industry.
It is understood that the main structure is planned to be completed by the end of 2025, trial production will begin by the end of 2026, and mass production will commence in March 2027.
According to data, Xitai Technology focuses on the research and industrialization of Micro-OLED, a core component for near-eye displays in wearable XR, and has applied for more than 470 patents, of which more than 60% are inventions.
Currently, Xitai Technology has two production lines: an 8-inch line and a 12-inch line. The 12-inch line is the most advanced in the world. The commencement of construction on the Nanchong Semiconductor Microdisplay Industrial Park will initiate the construction of Xitai Technology's second 12-inch production line, which is a key measure to achieve Xitai Semiconductor's goal of becoming a leader in the semiconductor microdisplay industry by 2030.
It's worth noting that in addition to the commencement of the Xitai Technology project, this month also saw the signing of an agreement by Ruixian Technology for a Micro OLED production line with a total investment of 3 billion yuan to be located in Changsha. The project plans to cover a full range of silicon-based OLED micro-display products through an "8 + 12 inch" dual-line layout, meeting the needs of more AR/VR/XR scenarios and customers. (Compiled)
