The patent abstract discloses a multi-mode micro-LED display for a head-mounted device, which can switch between two or more complementary display modes with different colors and/or resolutions. These modes can help head-mounted displays using micro-LEDs to display information to users in various display scenarios without simply increasing the power consumption of the micro-LEDs. These modes can be supported by display software and display hardware. Switching between alternative modes can be based on the content to be displayed, user input, environmental conditions, and/or the conditions of the head-mounted device.
It's worth noting that Google is actively promoting its AR glasses business. In April of this year, Google publicly demonstrated for the first time an AR glasses prototype equipped with a microdisplay and the Gemini AI assistant, as well as the "Infinite" MR headset co-developed with Samsung. Google showcased multiple applications of the device, including real-time interaction with the AI agent.
JBD has filed a patent application for a system and method for multi-color LED pixel units.
JBD has filed a patent application entitled "System and Method for Multicolor LED Pixel Units", with a publication date of March 11, 2025 and publication number CN119604109A.

The patent abstract shows that this patent discloses a miniature multicolor LED device comprising two or more LED structures for emitting a series of colors of light. The two or more LED structures are vertically stacked to vertically and/or horizontally mix the light emitted by the two or more LED structures and reflect it upwards via some reflective structures.
In some implementations, each LED structure is connected to a pixel driver and/or a common electrode. The LED structures are bonded together via a bonding layer. In some implementations, a planarization layer encloses each LED structure or micro-multicolor LED device. In some implementations, one or more of the following structures are implemented in the device: a reflective layer, a refractive layer, microlenses, spacers, and reflector cups, to improve LED luminous efficiency. Display panels including arrays of micro-tricolor LED devices have high resolution and high illumination brightness.
Qili Electronics Applies for Patent on Laser Mass Transfer Method and Device for Micro-LED Microdisplay Devices
According to information from the State Intellectual Property Office, Shenzhen Qili Electronics Technology Co., Ltd. has applied for a patent entitled "Laser Mass Transfer Method and Device for Micro-LED Microdisplay Devices," publication number CN119794581A, with an application date of March 2025.

Image source: State Intellectual Property Office
The patent abstract shows that the present invention relates to a method and apparatus for mass laser transfer of Micro-LED micro-display devices, comprising the following steps: taking micro-display device images of the dissociated Micro-LED micro-display devices to obtain images of the position and morphology of the Micro-LED micro-display devices; picking up the dissociated Micro-LED micro-display devices onto a target substrate based on the images of the position and morphology of the Micro-LED micro-display devices to obtain a transferred Micro-LED micro-display device array;
The transferred Micro-LED microdisplay device array is fixed to obtain a Micro-LED microdisplay device array fixed on the target substrate. The electrical performance of the Micro-LED microdisplay device array fixed on the target substrate is tested to obtain electrical performance parameters. Micro-LED microdisplay devices with electrical performance parameters lower than the threshold are rejected to obtain a qualified Micro-LED microdisplay device array. This solves the technical problem that traditional transfer methods such as mechanical transfer and printing transfer are usually inefficient and easily damage the tiny Micro-LED microdisplay devices during the transfer process.
Triassic and Maike Technology Obtain Patents for Display Backplane and Micro-LED Display Panel
According to information from the State Intellectual Property Office, Triassic (Guangdong) Technology Co., Ltd. and Chengdu Maike Technology Co., Ltd. have obtained a patent entitled "Display Backplane and Micro-LED Display Panel", with authorization announcement number CN222826419U and application date in July 2024.

The patent abstract shows that this utility model provides a display backplate and a Micro-LED display panel to solve the technical problem that existing Micro-LED display panels with side metal traces have splicing gaps, which seriously affect the display effect. The display backplate is made of a material with a dielectric constant of less than 10, which effectively reduces capacitive coupling effect, reduces power consumption, and improves signal transmission integrity and thermal stability.
This display back panel achieves a straight electrical connection between the front and back wiring layers through a through-hole vertical interconnect structure, replacing the side metal traces and completely avoiding the side space occupation caused by side metal traces. The display back panel maintains a completely flat side structure. Furthermore, through a simple, easy-to-implement, and high-yield splicing process, the splicing sides of multiple Micro-LED display panels can be tightly aligned to form a Micro-LED display screen with consistent display effects.
Hongshengda Applies for Anti-Glare Micro LED Display Patent
According to information from the State Intellectual Property Office, Shenzhen Hongshengda Optoelectronic Technology Co., Ltd. has applied for a patent entitled "An Anti-Glare Micro LED Display and its Anti-Glare Adjustment Method and System", with publication number CN119811279A and application date of March 2025.

The patent abstract shows that this invention relates to the field of display technology and discloses an anti-glare Micro LED display screen and its anti-glare adjustment method and system. The method includes: acquiring multi-dimensional spectral data of incident light to obtain a multi-dimensional spectral feature matrix; reconstructing the spatiotemporal light field by performing tensor decomposition and spherical harmonic function expansion on the multi-dimensional spectral feature matrix to obtain four-dimensional light field feature data; and inputting the four-dimensional light field feature data into a deep learning prediction network for dynamic modeling to obtain light field distribution prediction data.
Based on light field distribution prediction data, anti-glare display parameters are optimized to obtain target values. A hierarchical control strategy is then executed according to these target values, generating multi-parameter coordinated control signals for transmittance adjustment, polarization state modulation, and microstructure actuation. This method achieves accurate conversion from light field characteristics to control parameters while ensuring the stability and continuity of the display effect, effectively reducing system energy consumption and improving operating efficiency.
