Recently, BOE released two high-brightness HUD (Head-Up Display) solutions based on COG (glass-based) Micro LED technology.
One of the models is a 6.2-inch P0.2 RGB Micro LED HUD, which uses self-developed Micro LED chips and backplane technology, and the module brightness can reach 30,000 nits. This solution combines an LTPS backplane to improve device stability, and through GOA design and special wiring structure, it supports seamless splicing at high PPI, making it suitable for a variety of application scenarios.

Another option is a monochrome glass-based Micro LED HUD with a pixel pitch of 58μm, a pixel density of 431PPI, and a peak brightness of 300,000 nits, maintaining visibility even in strong light conditions. This solution combines the high mobility of LTPS with low-resistance materials to improve driving capability and reduce power consumption, and, together with optical microstructure design, achieves enhanced brightness.

BOE has already established a certain foundation in glass-based mass production processes and active matrix driving, and is gradually covering key process links such as LTPS backplanes, LED chips, transfer, and packaging. Going forward, it will continue to optimize LTPS+Micro LED technology under the COG architecture and expand its application scenarios in automotive, commercial displays, advertising, e-sports, and smart screens.
In the first quarter of 2025, BOE achieved operating revenue of RMB 50.599 billion, a year-on-year increase of 10.27%, setting a new record for the company's first-quarter revenue; net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company was RMB 1.614 billion, a year-on-year increase of 64.06%.
In the MLED business, revenue from Mini LED backlight devices increased by 215% year-on-year. In the direct-view display business, BOE launched COB small-pitch LED indoor displays in overseas markets; in the domestic market, it continued to deepen cooperation with key customers, providing customized MLED display solutions for projects such as the Beijing Digital Economy Computing Power Center and Hefei Yintai in77.
Regarding capacity expansion, in the first quarter of this year, BOE's HC SemiTek held a product delivery ceremony for the world's first 6-inch Micro LED mass production line. This production line mainly produces Micro LED wafers and pixel devices, targeting applications such as large-size commercial displays, AR/VR devices, and wearable devices. Once fully operational, the project is expected to have an annual capacity of 24,000 6-inch wafers and 45,000 KK Micro LED pixel devices. In addition, BOE's Zhuhai Crystal Core COB production line has achieved mass production and delivery. (Compiled)
