Unilumin Technology: AI products have entered the mass delivery stage

On August 24, Unilumin Technology released its latest research report, disclosing the company's latest operational and strategic progress.

In the first half of 2025, the domestic market showed a clear recovery, with concentrated release of demand in segmented scenarios such as cinemas, education, stage performances, and cultural tourism, driving the company's domestic business revenue to RMB 1.481 billion, a year-on-year increase of 19.96%; overseas business continued to grow steadily, achieving revenue of RMB 2.176 billion, a year-on-year increase of 0.22%.

The company stated that the main drivers for the second half of the year will be the continued recovery of domestic demand driven by both policy and consumption; accelerated penetration of overseas markets and channel expansion; and the continued expansion of industry boundaries through emerging application scenarios such as LED+AI, XR virtual shooting, LED cinema screens, and "texture screens" that can replace architectural decorations. The company also stated that its integrated optical display solutions will continuously enhance customer stickiness and added value.

Against the backdrop of the rapid penetration of artificial intelligence, the company is building a competitive advantage through the "LED+AI" strategy. On the one hand, relying on years of experience in LED display hardware, the company embeds AI functions into LED hardware devices to achieve intelligent functions such as content generation, scene recognition, and interactive feedback, upgrading traditional LED displays into intelligent terminals that are perceptive and interactive.

On the other hand, the company has made early investments in the "LED+AI" field. With its self-developed "Shanyin Big Model" and integrated digital content display platform, combined with its mass production capabilities for Mini/Micro LEDs and a global channel network of more than 5,600 outlets in over 160 countries, it has formed a closed loop of "hardware + algorithm + IP" to upgrade LED displays to "light display + AI overall solution".

Currently, the company's AI edge products have entered the mass delivery stage. On the B2B side, in August 2025, the company signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Hong Kong Kezhuo Group to launch the rail transit AI intelligent upgrade project and signed an agreement for the mass delivery of 1,500 AI all-in-one machines.

Meanwhile, the company signed a 5-year framework agreement with Huahuihuang to supply 1 million AI smart hardware units, marking the beginning of large-scale deployment of AI products. In addition to the announced projects, several other projects are under negotiation. AI products are in the early stages of mass production, with a higher overall gross profit margin than traditional hardware.

Regarding the industry landscape, the company believes that from the perspective of different sub-sectors, although cross-industry players have entered the Mini/Micro LED standard category in recent years by leveraging large-scale manufacturing and cost control, the company has high barriers to entry in B-end projects such as on-site surveying, engineering installation and after-sales service, and the competitive landscape is unlikely to be shaken in the short term; in the sub-sectors such as conference all-in-one machines, which are between standard products and engineering products, both sides have their own space, and the overall market presents a differentiated coexistence.
