Kultik, one of Hungary's major cinema chains, used a 9-meter-wide HeyLED screen for this project. This self-emissive display device differs from traditional projectors; LED cinema screens emit light independently for each pixel, providing higher brightness and contrast, improving black levels and reducing ghosting in 3D images, thus enhancing viewing clarity and immersion.

Kultik stated that based on their previous experience using the technology in Romanian cinemas, they are optimistic about its potential for application in the region. The cinemas plan to use HeyLED to screen films such as *Tron: Legacy* and *Avatar 3D*.

HeyLED screens reportedly boast a contrast ratio of 60,000:1, a peak brightness of 88 fL (approximately 300 nits), and support 120fps high frame rate display, making them suitable for movies, game demos, live broadcasts, and multi-functional events. This feature allows cinemas to function as diverse entertainment and commercial venues.

This project is part of HeyLED's global expansion strategy. Previously, HeyLED cinema screens have been deployed in multiple locations across Asia, the United States, Europe, and the Middle East, and related projects are continuing to advance in Europe, Canada, the Middle East, and Asia.

In May 2024, the HeyLED cinema screen was put into use at the VOX Cinema in Dubai, UAE; in July 2024, the first HeyLED cinema screen in Europe officially debuted at the Inspire Cinema in Romania. The cinema uses a HeyLED 2K 10-meter LED cinema screen that has been certified by Hollywood DCI.

The successful launch of HeyLED cinema screens in Hungary marks a further expansion of this technology in the European market. To further explore the current state of development and application prospects of LED cinema screens, HeyLED and TrendForce Display will jointly host the 2025 Self-Emitting Display Industry Seminar on October 30th.

Chen Weijun, General Manager of Times Huaying, will deliver a keynote speech at the conference entitled "Analysis of the Current Status and Future Prospects of LED Cinema Screens," sharing industry trends and technological application experience. All are welcome to attend and join us in focusing on the latest developments and application prospects of LED cinema screens. (Compiled)
