ProPoint Semiconductor, a leading provider of image and display processing solutions, today announced a strategic partnership with Digital Optical, a professional chip design technology company. The two companies will join forces to create industry-leading Micro LED projection chip solutions, further accelerating the development and commercialization of Micro LED projectors and their display/driver chip products, and leading the new display technology industry to achieve leapfrog development.

In this collaboration, both parties leverage their respective industry standing and complementary resource advantages in the projector field. With the goal of advancing digital projection technology from the DLP/LCD passive projection technology route to the Micro LED self-emissive active projection technology route, they will engage in in-depth technical cooperation, focusing on the design and development of self-emissive projection chips, reshaping the form and quality of projection devices, and making projectors smaller, brighter, with higher resolution and lower cost.

In the future, both parties will focus on advanced projection technology, deeply integrate AI algorithms with display technology, continuously upgrade projection chip solutions, and accelerate the industrialization of next-generation Micro LED projection technology.
