It is reported that, in order to effectively cope with the market delivery pressure and the rapid growth in production capacity demand, and to ensure the implementation of the Mini LED+large panel strategy, the fourth phase of the Mini LED manufacturing capacity project of the core component manufacturer was officially launched on September 27, 2024.
Sixty-six pieces of production equipment arrived within 45 days, with the first piece successfully installed in the production workshop on November 22. On December 3, the two newly built production lines of the Mini LED production department successfully completed commissioning and started trial production.
According to available information, the Smart Screen BU Manufacturing Center is the largest production and manufacturing center under TCL Industrial, mainly engaged in the design, production, and manufacturing of smart screens (TVs, various smart screen products and accessories).
It is worth noting that in 2023, the first phase of the Mini LED manufacturing capability construction project of the Pan-Intelligent Screen BU manufacturing center was officially launched.
With the widespread adoption of Mini LED technology and the growth in front-end demand, the second phase of the Mini LED manufacturing capacity project was officially launched in February this year. The project achieved trial production and mass production of 65T7K TVs, and quickly delivered the first batch of 4,000 85T7K TVs with a zero defect rate.
To cope with market delivery pressure and rapid growth in production capacity, and to support the implementation of the Mini LED+large panel strategy, the Mini LED Phase III project of the core component factory of the Pan-Intelligent Screen BU manufacturing center was officially launched and put into production in September this year.
Data shows that as of September, the Mini LED production department of the core component manufacturer has planned to build 8 fully automated high-speed Mini LED production lines in its COB workshop. It has 280 production machines of 28 types, which can process LED chips with a minimum wafer size of 80*80μm and produce lamp boards with a maximum size of 1200*460mm. It can also support a full range of Mini LED backlight modules from 21 to 120 inches, with an annual processing capacity of 1.71 billion Mini LEDs.
