With the rapid penetration of virtual reality, immersive imaging, and digital shooting technologies, LED displays and virtual production are becoming crucial infrastructure for content creation. Recently, Qingdao and Chongqing have both released related achievements.

The Qingdao LED Virtual Reality Innovation Center will soon be inaugurated . According to the Qingdao Evening News, the 2025 Qingdao Virtual Reality Innovation Conference is scheduled to be held in Laoshan District from November 21st to 22nd. The Qingdao Virtual Reality Innovation Center, as the permanent venue for the conference, will also be inaugurated at the same time.

The center is designed in the shape of a giant flying saucer, and its interior uses a large number of high-specification LED display systems to create an immersive experience space. The core installation, the "Spirit Fortress," is composed of three high-definition LED screens—a dome screen, a panoramic screen, and a floor screen—that work together to present immersive visual effects such as "The Flying Saucer Takes Flight" through ultra-8K digital content, becoming the center's main visual scene.

In addition to the main exhibition area, the Innovation and Sharing Center also incorporates various immersive display technologies such as dome screens, AR sand tables, and digital twins to complement the LED screen, aiming to showcase the diverse possibilities of virtual reality in urban planning, industrial applications, and cultural tourism experiences.

Yongchuan Technology Studio's LED Virtual Shooting Enables High-Quality Short Dramas <br /> The application of LED technology is also accelerating in the film and television production field. At the 2025 Chengdu-Chongqing Film and Television Development Conference, "technology + short dramas" became a key focus. Yongchuan Technology Studio, located in Chongqing, is driving the transformation of short drama production methods from traditional models to virtualization and digitalization through its virtual shooting system.

The first phase of the filming set included an LED virtual shooting studio with a circumference of 42 meters, a height of 7 meters, and an area of 800 square meters. The second phase added a fixed LED virtual screen with a circumference of 60 meters and a height of 10 meters, as well as a sliding virtual screen with a circumference of 21 meters and a height of 6 meters, bringing the total area to 926 square meters and creating a large-scale immersive shooting environment.

Leveraging real-time rendering and motion capture systems, LED virtual filming enables seamless integration of virtual scenes and physical filming, allowing sci-fi scenes that previously relied on set construction or post-production special effects to be completed within the studio. Simultaneously, the studio's accompanying digital set design workshop allows for one-click scene switching, providing further technical support for the rapid production of short dramas.
